Expert is the term people used in the past to indicate their level of professional skill. Then the term got over worked. So we became specialists, and of course we're all professionals as we get paid for our labor.
So, what are we? I tell people that I've expert knowledge of electric distribution because of more than 20 years experience working with the system. For me that works. Meaning that I'm comfortable with the term and am stating fact.
When it comes to e-Marketing, and web stuff, I don't use any terms to quantify my expertise. Rather, I let my conversation, publications, clients, and experience speak for themselves.
Same for my speaking skills. Public speaking is what I truly love. There is no more relaxing place in the universe than being in front of a group.
My exuberance does the selling. And, of course, my YouTube videos, list of speaking gigs, publications, and well rounded expertise don't hurt. The client gets an accomplished knowledgeable speaker and I get to be where life is better than great.
As to my web skills, you only need visit our website, WebContentRx.biz, to know that we've got the goods to deliver a competent website that is a superb business tool. Why? My site is well designed and looks great on everything from a smart phone to a TV sized monitor. And does what our business needs it to do. No surprise there, that's what we created it to be.

But, let's get back to the title of this post. What you call yourself is up to you. As long as you've got the goods to back it up. Just be advised: to overstate your abilities to get a gig, sell a product, or obtain a signed contract, avails you not if you do not have the knowledge, experience, and background to deliver.
Saying you an expert, specialist, or professional is easy. Having having the bona fide skills, knowledge, and expertise is the hard part.
