- One of our clients, a land surveyor, was losing clients to lower bids. He did a lot more and his price reflected that. So, what's the problem? His competition did less and charged less. Solution: a two tier price in his proposals. Lower bid to compete with the lower priced competition, and a full service price as well. He liked that, a lot.
- A car dealer. We created a new product for him. What we called, The Student Buy Back Program. Our dealer is located near The University of Connecticut, at Storrs, and Eastern Connecticut State University. With this product, he would sell cars to students and then, when the cars are no longer needed, he buys them back. It worked.
Don't draw lines in the sand. Never say we don't do that. When your clients need a hand, give them good advise. If you don't have the expertise, make inquiries, pickup the phone, send some e-mails and provide leads. You have a wide range of business contacts and acquaintances. Use them to everyone's advantage. Your included.
Be helpful, be an asset that your clients can trust, someone they can discuss problems and opportunities with because you display good sense and intelligence. You'll won't be sorry.
